Frequently Asked Questions

Can we have a band or DJ?

Absolutely - we also have plenty of contacts in this area so can put you in touch with the some great musicians if you need

What time does the bar close?

The venue is licensed till 2am, our outdoor area is licensed to midnight

Can we decorate the venue?

Yes, however we just request you don’t use anything that can cause damage as there may be a liability to cover repairs

Can we bring our own alcohol & food?

This may be possible in some circumstances we would just require a room hire fee in lieu of a minimum spend

Can you cater to dietary requirements?

Of course, our chef is well versed in making sure everyone gets fed and is well looked after

Is car parking available?

Whilst we do not have parking ourselves there is some parking available close by. Any parking needed for set up etc can usually be arranged with enough time too

Are under 18s allowed in the venue?

Yes, but they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For anyone not accompanied there are specific areas of the venue that unaccompanied minors are allowed to be on the premise at restricted times

What forms of ID do you accept?

As per NZ licensing laws- Passports, NZ Driving licenses or HANZ 18+ are the only forms we may accept

Can we do a subsidised bar tab?

Most definitely

Is there a dress code?

Definitely not- unless you decide to impose one!

Is there a minimum spend or deposit?

In most cases we do require a minimum spend or deposit, to secure the space you are looking for. This is likely to depend on which date you are interested in

How will I receive my deposit back on the night?

This can just be applied to any tab or refunded to you – whichever is easiest

When do I need to confirm catering?

All catering requirements must be confirmed no later than five days prior to the event. If the number of guests attending the function decreases from the confirmed number, the full catering amount will still be charged.

What if I need to cancel?

Where cancellations are given less than five days prior to the function date, any deposit may be forfeited.
